Project Overview
For this solar panel installation in Buckinghamshire, we installed 15 Trina Vertex S 420W all-black solar panels, utilising Van der Valk solar panel mounting for robust installation. To protect against bird interference, we implemented a bird blocker system. The heart of the system features a SolaX 5kW hybrid inverter paired with a SolaX 6kWh battery storage unit, optimising energy storage and distribution.
Maximising Solar Utilisation
Our client sought to maximise the self-consumption of solar energy. With the addition of the SolaX battery storage, the system now captures and utilises up to 60% more solar energy. This significant increase reduces dependency on the grid during peak hours and enhances energy independence.
Intelligent EV Charging Integration
To complement the solar and battery setup, we integrated the Easee One EV charger equipped with an Easee Equaliser accessory. This intelligent charging solution monitors surplus solar energy and automatically directs it to charge the client's electric vehicle once the battery is full. Moreover, the Easee One EV Charger leverages cheaper overnight electric rates like those offered by Octopus, further optimising energy costs.
Seamless Integration and Compliance
The installation included compliance with the G99 application requirements for the 5kW inverter, ensuring regulatory adherence and safety standards. The seamless integration of components ensures a reliable and efficient energy system tailored to the client's needs.
